Lightweight and Technical Design

Weighing only 235 g, the Petzl Ride is one of the lightest ice axes in the Petzl range. Its lightweight construction helps reduce the overall weight of a ski touring or mountaineering pack without eliminating the essential features needed for snow and ice travel.

The steel head provides dependable anchoring, while the 3 mm tapered pick is designed for effective penetration into ice. The curved shaft and machined grip provide comfortable handling in both climbing and piolet-canne positions.

The head also incorporates a supportive surface designed to fit comfortably in the hand, while grooves in the shaft improve grip during more technical use.

Compact 45 cm Design
