The DMM Ceros Screwgate Belay is a dedicated belay carabiner designed to provide consistent rope control while helping minimise the risk of cross-loading. Developed as an evolution of the Rhino, the Ceros combines intuitive handling with a design that helps maintain the correct orientation when attached to a belay loop.

Its downward-opening internal wiregate allows the carabiner to be attached to the belay loop in a single movement while keeping the Ceros captive and correctly oriented during belaying. The horn on the spine helps prevent assisted braking devices from moving onto the carabiner’s spine, while the full-section top bar provides smooth rope handling and increased resistance to wear.

Internal Wiregate for Correct Orientation

The downward-opening internal wiregate allows the Ceros to be attached to a belay loop in a single movement. It keeps the carabiner captive on the belay loop and helps maintain its correct orientation during belaying.

The internal wiregate can also assist with correct positioning when the Ceros is installed on the end of a lanyard or a harness textile bridge.

Horn Helps Minimise Cross-Loading
